Dear McMillan Families:
We hope that you are enjoying the final days of summer vacation. Our 25-26 school year is just around the corner and will be filled with incredible learning opportunities for all of our students. The school year begins on Monday, August 11, 2025. Our school hours are the same as last year. Students can begin arriving on campus at 8:35 am for breakfast in the Multi-Purpose Room. The instructional day begins at 9:00 am and ends at 3:11 pm
Our back to school Meet-n-Greet will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Teacher assignments will be posted in the Multi-Purpose Room at our Meet-n-Greet for all students who have completed the registration and enrollment process. This session will give our families the opportunity to meet teachers and view classrooms. After families meet the teacher I encourage you to stop by the Multi-Purpose Room to find out more information about Safe-Key.

Things to remember for this school year:
School entrance points
There are only two entry points for our students. Students that are walking or being dropped off by a parent/guardian will enter through the front of the building. Students that are riding the bus will enter through the bus gate in the bus lane. The “Kiss and Go” lane will operate the same as it has in previous years. McMillan Elementary remains a closed campus for the 25-26 school year.
School dismissal locations
Students in grades 1-5 will be dismissed daily from the dismissal gates labeled with corresponding grade level. Kindergarten students will be dismissed from the kindergarten gates located at the front of the building and labeled with a “K”.
Registration and Enrollment:
All students are required to register and enroll each school year. If you still need to complete the registration or enrollment process for the 25-26 school year, please visit the lint here to begin the process (http://campusportal.ccsd.net/).You will also need to bring in your documents and identification to the school office before the first day of school on Monday, August, 11, 2025.
